Malcolm Bradbury Trust Scholarship recipient, Kirstie Marfleet, was the creative mastermind behind Peterborough College’s recent pantomime, ‘The Adventures of Dick Whittington’, a colourful and energetic show that offered a local take on the classic tale. The BA (Hons) English Literature with Creative Writing undergraduate took centre stage with the success of the production with three sellout performances that “left audiences delighted” over the Christmas Period.
In 2022, Kirstie became the first ever undergraduate recipient of the Malcolm Bradbury Trust Scholarship at University Centre Peterborough. Whilst excelling in her studies, Kirstie has continuously demonstrated her passion and drive for the literary arts with her involvement in local and community initiatives. We, at the Malcolm Bradbury Trust, are hugely proud to support such a promising young writer and look forward to seeing what’s next for Kirstie over the coming months and years.
“Receiving the scholarship was an incredible honour. It has opened up so many doors for me, allowing me to work with schools and be involved in other exciting projects. It has also enabled me to make strong connections with other successful writers and creatives, which has proven to be invaluable.” – Kirstie Marfleet.
